Approximately 30 years ago, the Chamber of Commerce decided it wanted to regionalize and serve not just Woburn but also neighboring cities and towns. However, a group of Woburn businessmen decided they wanted to serve strictly Woburn, thereby forming the WCC.
The WCC is a nonprofit organization that helps businesses and its members negotiate the public forums, public agencies and overcome the plights of dealing with public officials. Our leadership and board members speak on behalf of current members as well as businesses coming into the community to help them navigate the politics, procedures and city departments they will be confronted with.
The WCC holds many networking events throughout the year which offer a great way for new people and businesses to meet each other. We encourage any business that offers a service or product to the City of Woburn to join us even if you do not live in or have an office in the city.
The Board of Directors reserves the right to approve each business that applies but we encourage multiple types of business to join. The more businesses that are part of the association, the stronger we are and the more we can accomplish, not only for businesses but for the City as a whole.
