The Woburn Business Association is about businesses, but we also have our own families. We know how important it is to maintain a successful balance of family and business all while staying healthy and safe. That’s what it’s all about. We’re all going through quite a bit recently. As the state slowly opens back up, we are seeing more traffic on the streets, through our doors, on the phones and over the Internet. We know things will get better.

The WBA is here to help you get the word out about the products and services that you offer. As the Executive Director and as a photography studio owner here in Woburn, I am available to promote your business through photos on FB, LinkedIn and in the local papers. We continue to offer ribbon cuttings for new businesses and to help publicize expansions, new locations, new product and services, new hires and any recent news you’d like to share. Reach out to us for all these and more member benefits.

We look forward to live networking again when it makes sense to do so. Meanwhile we continue to offer virtual networking and professional development programs. We hope you will take advantage of them to “meet” new businesses and people that you will be able to grow your business with. We continue to offer a member spotlight opportunity that is available through our website and also the ability to list your own event, virtual or otherwise, on our events page. We have been advocating for businesses with local and state government all while keeping our members up to date with changes in resources, funding and safety.

The WBA continues to grow. Since last fall, we have brought on 72 new members. The WBA is even stronger than before and you now have more companies to network with and help grow your business with. We hope you refer someone you know to us, because this is how we grow as an organization and become stronger for you as well.

The WBA offers many sponsorship opportunities from individual events to annual sponsors. These sponsorships get your name out there over and over again and show the community you are committed to making the greater Woburn area even stronger. Let’s talk about our levels from $150 to $5000 and lots of opportunities in between.

Our job has always been to promote and help grow your business and we look forward to  making that happen. Get involved where you can, sponsor when you can, and let us help you grow and get back to doing business as usual. Use the logo attached on your website (create a link if you can) to let people know you are a member and support the local business community. It goes along way.

Thank you for being a member. If you’re not yet a member or have let your membership lapse, now is the perfect time to join us. Lots going on here at the WBA and we hope you become part of our family too. That’s what it’s all about.

SCI needs your support for Summer Concerts at Horn Pond!
Children dancing and enjoying the summer concert at Horn Pond.
We are reaching out on behalf of Social Capital Inc. to ask you to consider donating to support SCI’s summer concert series. For nearly 15 years, SCI has been providing free family fun and entertainment for the Woburn community each summer at their
Now is your chance to show how valuable this programming is to you! The concert scheduled for next Friday, July 15th featuring Los Sugar Kings, an excellent Latin/Reggae band, does not have a community business sponsor. It is up to the amazing community of Woburn to make this concert happen by coming together to crowdfund the event.
If you value these free concerts and want them to continue in the future, it is important that you show us that they have worth to you! Please donate today to support this long-standing community tradition. Please help SCI raise the $950 it takes to cover the cost of the band and other expenses it takes to put on the concert. Without a strong community response, they will likely have to cut back on the number of concerts offered next year.
Please, if you can’t give today, perhaps you could spread the word! SCI is also seeking a sponsor for the July 29th concert featuring the Austin Torpedoes. If you know of a community business that may be interested, please contact David Crowley at:
