Many of our members are facing staffing difficulties due to a lack of regional transportation. We have organized the Transportation Conversation Breakfast in part to help them find solutions to the problem. We are also offering free table space to businesses who are attending the breakfast. The space is limited. Please contact Heather at (781) 935-0345 or to claim your spot.

How the Woburn Chamber of Commerce Benefits Business
The Woburn Chamber of Commerce was formed in the early 1980’s. For over 30 years we have been dedicated to supporting Woburn businesses. The Woburn Chamber of Commerce offers support at City Hall for new businesses as well as those seeking to expand or renovate. We are proud to act as a liaison between business and the many community organizations, non-profits and charities in the area. We know that giving back benefits business in many ways and we are proud of the contributions of our members that help make Woburn a strong and vibrant community. For many of our members the opportunity for varied and ongoing networking is vital to growing their contacts and their business. We have maintained ongoing network gatherings at member businesses as well as adding the Women of Woburn and the Young Professionals to our line up. We will be continuing to grow with our “Lunch and Learn” program launching this June.

Woburn Hospitality Restaurant And Nightlife  Networking Night

The Woburn Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event for professionals in the Hospitality, Restaurant and Nightlife industries in Woburn. This inside the industry networking is one of the goals of our newest group under the Woburn Chamber of Commerce umbrella, WHRN. Join others who understand the specific demands and challenges that are part of the career. November 30th will be a fun way to meet some new friends, play some games and learn more about the goals of the WHRN.

One of the biggest goals of the group is to provide opportunities for work & play. Networking is an amazing way to make new contacts and expand your growth potential. Networking with people who work in the same industry provides unique opportunities to cross promote, share resources and create exciting events.

The WHRN is driven by the slogan, “Buy Local Buy Woburn”. As a group we are seeking to create a dialogue with our members to retain and attract business to Woburn. Through unique promotions, Groupon style discount offers and special events such as a” Pub Crawl Through the Wu” and “A Taste of Woburn”; we aim to partner with you to bring new business and attention to your establishments.

The Woburn Chamber of Commerce has well established relationships with City Officials. Finding solutions to common problems may be possible with assistance through city and state officials. Many of you are struggling with the same difficulties and having help and awareness of these issues is a way to source solutions that benefit everyone.

Our Annual Meeting is more than a time to take care of Association business. It is a time to celebrate and honor some of the best parts of the year. Included in that is our yearly surprise of our recipient of the Humanitarian Award. The Business of the Year Award is given to a business who has had an exceptional year based upon growth, community involvement or other substantial developments. The business climate of the upcoming year is addressed and this year the conversation will surround the passage of the new Marijuana Legislation. Specifically we will examine how it will impact business. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm on December 6th at the Crowne Plaza.

Our Holiday Celebration is graciously being planned by Catherine Stevens and her team at the Crowne Plaza/Scoreboards. We will enjoy delicious passed hor d’ouerves, a carving station as well as a pasta station. While we wine and dine we can browse the items up for auction to benefit the Council of Social Concern. Our members have generously donated a huge variety of items and with 100% of the proceeds going to the Council, you can shop and do good at the same time!

2016 has been a year of great growth and excitement at the Woburn Chamber of Commerce. Please come and help us celebrate our success and move forward into 2017 with great hope and faith that more is on the horizon.
